Architectural Technician / Technologist

 

We are a small, friendly and innovative award-winning RIBA practice in Haywards Heath near Brighton and we are looking for an enthusiastic person with an interest in eco and sustainable design to join our busy team.

 

We are an established practice dedicated to excellence and a belief that good design has the ability to lift and inspire people to lead better lives with an emphasis on professional friendly service for our clients.

 

Responsibilities

 

You will be working on a variety of exciting projects across all stages of the design and construction process. Working alongside the team you will produce:

 

  • Measured building surveys

  • 3D BIM Models

  • Building Regulation packages with specifications​

  • Tender documentation

You will be given the opportunity to develop your own skills and knowledge within our team as your workload includes regular contact with clients, planners, building control, contractors and other consultants covering all RIBA stages. We undertake regular CPD events and encourage a good work-life balance including flexible hours to suit, you must like dogs!

 

Requirements

 

Must have a positive and hardworking attitude and a sense of humour! Proven experience of ArchiCAD or similar would be beneficial to the role as you will need to hit the ground running due to our increased workload.

 

Ideally you will be well organised, methodical with good attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.  Knowledge of Building Regulations and good levels of technical detailing is desirable, with good communication and time management skills.  The role would also require the ability to handle multiple projects and liaise with both consultants and clients.

Part I/II Architectural Assistant

  • Planning applications​

Requirements

 

Ecotecture are looking for an enthusiastic Part I/II Architectural Assistant to work on all stages of projects from inception to completion. 

Our ideal applicant will express a willingness to learn, take the initiative and have strong design skills. We are looking for someone organised, methodical, have a good attention to detail and be passionate about buildings. 

Desirable requirements include: 

  • A strong design portfolio 

  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD or similar 

  • Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign 

  • Ability to take responsibility and complete tasks with accuracy

 

A competitive salary is offered, which will be dependent on level of experience and qualifications. The position is full time with 20 days holiday a year plus all statutory days, together with a company pension scheme. Ecotecture supports progression through the RIBA Part I/II and apprenticeships routes.
